The author shows a complete lack of understanding of the company's structure right from the first citation. Denys Pylypenko is a founder and a general manager of Scientific Alliance Holding, whereas Denys Kovalenko is the director of emerging markets for the Scientific Publications brand (e.g. Poland and Azerbaijan). Denys Hlushko is a director of Scientific Publications Ukraine. The Scientific Publications Kazakhstan director is Maryna Yashchenko.

The author tries to cast doubt on the success of the Ukrainian branch of Scientific Publications with a thesis, alleging that only a Kazakhstan department has any resemblance of success. Despite huge success in foreign markets, Ukraine is the key market for Scientific Publications and Scientific Alliance as a whole. Three offices with more than 100 employees are present in Kyiv alone, while more than 1,500 authors and translators cooperate with the company remotely on a full-day basis.
Furthermore, since 2023, the company has continued its development of an innovative scientific research hub. In this hub, Ukrainian scientists will have all required research resources and tools, including closed ones, such as Scopus, Web of Science databases and much more, thus enabling effective development of science in general.
Providing jobs, paying taxes, and offering services on publication support in international databases for authors from other countries (thus providing income for the state budget), Scientific Publications Ukraine company provides significant assistance to the Ukrainian economy and population.

Scientific Publications company operates only within a legal framework, concluding a transparent standard service contract with its clients. Furthermore, if needed, a copyright and confidentiality agreements can be signed with the client.

Central Scientific Alliance office has been located in Kyiv since the foundation of the company in 2016. Most of the team still works in Ukraine, including general manager Denys Pylypenko.
A temporary office in Western Ukraine was created in February 2022 near the city of Mukachevo as the safety and lives of our employees and their families were most prioritised by the management. Transportation, accommodations, essentials, and more were provided by the company.
From March 2022, Scientific Alliance began providing jobs to refugees and people who were forced to leave the occupied territories. In May, employees returned to the Kyiv office.
By the end of 2023, more than 50 jobs were created, most of them for refugees.
Currently, the company is indeed in the process of opening new branches abroad, in particular in Azerbaijan, Albania, Kyrgyzstan and Poland. The necessary companies and trademarks are already being registered, staff is being selected and trained, and bank accounts are being opened. However, this process is not that fast, as all key employees are located in Ukraine.

The author of the article, a Ukrainian currently residing in a foreign country, mocks the assistance to the Ukrainian Army provided by the company's staff. Originally, the company created a "Scientific Alliance" charity fund in 2022. The structure is not public and does not attract outside funding.
The company's staff decides twice a year to whom they should donate: animal shelters, urban projects, orphanages, clinics, etc. Then, the company allocates funds (a set amount from each sold service) and each employee may personally donate (voluntarily). The collected sum is then donated to the agreed case.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, most cases have focused on supporting volunteer associations, prosthetics, humanitarian aid, or military assistance to the Ukrainian armed forces.
Since then, all foreign sites of the company have a call for direct donations to the "Come Back Alive" fund.
