Osh Technological University named after M. M. Adyshev was founded in 1996 on the basis of the Osh Higher Technological College, which was formerly the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute (established in 1963). The university is funded by the state, and accreditation is granted by the Ministry of Education and Science.
