Obtaining a PhD and doctoral degree involves defending a dissertation. In order for students to be admitted to this stage, they must provide a certain number of scientific publications, in accordance with the requirements set out in the Regulations on the procedure for awarding academic degrees.
For a PhD:
The applicant must publish at least 2 articles in professional journals indexed by Scopus and Web of Science. The total number of points for the materials must be at least 100.
It is worth noting that no more than 2 articles from a candidate for a scientific degree can be published in one issue of a printed publication; other articles are not taken into account. The last publications should be published no later than one month before the submission of the dissertation to the specialised academic council.
For Doctor of Sciences:
The applicant must publish at least 1 article in periodicals indexed by Scopus or Web of Science. The total number of points for publications must be at least 250.
If a doctoral dissertation is written in the form of a scientific report, a monograph and at least 12 articles in periodicals indexed by Scopus or Web of Science must be submitted for defence. The monograph must have a volume of at least 10 printed pages. It is also important to note that newspaper articles, deposited manuscripts, and abstracts of reports are not included in the list of published works.
