The Presidential Press Service reported that the head of government had approved the regulations on the State Prize in Science and Technology. What points were approved?
The State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in Science and Technology reflects the high recognition of the merits of scientists to society and the state.
The approved Regulations define the procedure for selecting applicants and the conditions for awarding the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in Science and Technology to citizens who have successfully passed the selection.
Conditions for receiving the State Prize:
- The Kasym Tynystanov State Prize is awarded for outstanding scientific works in all areas of science that contribute to the preservation and development, as well as to the enhancement of the status of the state language.
- The prize is awarded for the results of scientific research that have significantly enriched the national science and made a significant contribution to the development of natural, technical, social and humanitarian sciences, contributing to the advancement of Kyrgyz science and technology to the level of the world's leading achievements.
- The award can also be given for the development of new equipment and advanced technologies that contribute to the innovative development of the economy and social sphere, as well as strengthening the country's defence capabilities.
- The award is given for the development and creation of new products and technological processes in various sectors of the economy that contain information classified as state secrets.
Components of the State Prize
The State Prize consists of several elements:
- A lapel pin "Laureate of the State Prize of the Kyrgyz Republic in Science and Technology";
- Certificate;
- Cash reward in the amount of 1,000,000 KGS for each laureate.
The prize is financed from the republican budget, provided for in the budget of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the section "Expenditures of national importance" under the item "State awards".
