In January 2024, two journals were excluded from the Scopus scientometric database - Journal of Law and Sustainable Development and Biomedicine.
The Scopus database conducts a monthly assessment of journals to ensure the high quality and scientific validity of the publications they index. The evaluation covers a number of criteria, such as citation level, scientific impact, expertise of editors and authors, quality of publications, and other factors.
Journals that do not meet high scientific standards may be excluded from the database. This can happen due to non-compliance with ethical standards, low citation, or other reasons that indicate poor quality of scientific content.
